Livery & Branding
As well as the 3 dimensional aspects of vehicle design, Design Triangle create exterior (and interior) liveries for its clients. Be it as part of an overall design strategy for new projects, one-off publicity wraps, or modifications to existing fleets to achieve RVAR and TSI/PRM compliance.
Livery design services include:
operator livery design
one-off promotional wraps
RVAR contrast compliance
vehicle dimensional surveys
final 2D CAD application drawings
Design Triangle created the HS2 visual brand language for the generic exterior design which went to press. The livery was an integral part of the design and expressed the proposed Y shaped route that the service will operate. Our industrial designers drew inspiration from existing iconic transport and engineering feats, not by following design/styling formulae, but by recognizing that all vehicles have a specific function and operate in a unique context, conform to different regulations. A train is a train and not a car, therefore current automotive styling cues should be avoided in favour of developing a unique language that reflects its function and efficiency.
